SHUI goes to attack a Caucasian as instructed, but is later arrested by CHI and FUN on his way to Shanghai on suspicion of killing a Caucasian named CLIFF. YAU turns to SUN for help, so SUN goes to see SHUI at once in the detention room and offers to represent him as defence counsel. SUN and YAU ask HAI to testify for SHUI, but are rejected. SUN and MAN have a discussion about SHUI’s case, and MAN is very appreciative of SHUN’s enthusiasm for law. CHI pays SHUI a visit and passes him the desserts prepared by FOON and YAU. SHUI says he is proud to have a friend like CHI and hopes their paths would cross again in the afterlife. He swears he would, if there was really an afterlife, change his ways and be a better man. His solemn promise has almost moved CHI to tears……
